BEST MOUNTAIN BIKE REVIEWS

I bought this bike for like 70 something bucks at Walmart more than a year ago. At first it was fine but then it started giving me headaches. Stuff started to get loose and no matter how many times I tightened it it started to fall apart again.I want to get a new one, but I don't want to spend too much money. What's a good bike that's not gonna cost me more than 200bucks?

Have seen Airnimal, but a bit expensive and am having difficulty locating alternatives!

Recently, the idea of biking has become quite appealing and I was thinking of purchasing one. I've always been fairly good on a bike, and i own a regular one that you can buy at Canadian Tire right now, but it's really old and a piece of junk and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what type of bike to buy. I would like one that would be beginner/intermediate friendly, also, the cost, if possible. Thanks!

A Trek 6300 and 6300 WSD? What does the WSD mean. Will this kind of bike be ok for commuting to work on or will it be too much hard work? About 6 miles there and back daily.
Or would I better off with a Trek 7300, 7500 which comes under bike path in treks website, they've got slimmer tyres i think.

I am going to use the bike mostly for off road biking (trails) down hills, uphills, etc. The associate at the Sporting goods store wasn't too experience at this stuff. Help!

I want to buy a mountain bike. I live in a town which is has a lot of hills. These make it difficult to ride a normal bike when going uphill.

What type of mountain bike should i buy?

And what is the difference in gear speads?

I heard alot of speed 5, speed 18 ...but i dont understand them im a beginner in cycling!

Where is the cheapest place in Edinburgh to buy mountain bike tyers (size 26 x 2.00) and can I put wider tyers on the the original wheels?
ie 2.75 rather than 2.00

Hey guys The Edinburgh Bicycle shop was superb, i got two new tyers (specialized "flack jacket) for £10 a piece, I was advised to stick with the original size of tyre as I would mainly be riding on road.

The bike is a "Huffy", it was given to me by a friend, so I dont know much about the bike, it seems to be an american bike but I noticed the wheels were made in germany. I think there is a slight buckel in the rear wheel I was thinking of taking it to "Grate kes, No Bull" in Leith walk to hae it repaird or get a second hand wheel.

I bent my old rear tire. i can buy a new bike for but it will cost me almost that to replace the rim.

On the UK market. I don't like bike racks or roof racks, they are fiddly and wreck aerodynamics.

I feel like bike dealers are like used car lots and really trying to rip me off. If I buy online I won't be able to test ride it before I buy. Is there a better way to buy a new mountain bike that I don't know of?

I'm going out to Ibiza again this summer and I'm taking my bike with me but my friend, who's out there already, couldn't get his one sorted in time to take it with him so I'm thinking of taking it with me. I have always been buying the walmart bikes and they have always sucked. I saw a mountain bike that I liked at dicks. Are there any good brands I should or should not look into? I hear diamond back is pretty good. I don't really want to pay more then 0. Is dicks good to buy from?

I'm not an expert, i was just wondering. When i was young i remember everyone liking Diamond Back and Claude Butler and a few others like Raleigh but i am not sure how they rate amongst the others. What are the Ferraris and Bentleys of the bike world? lol
