The first thing you need to do if you are going to buy a new road bike or any other kind is to seek out a good, local bike dealer. As the blogger on cheaproadbikes.net wrote

When buying a used bike, it is important to know what you are looking for and from whom to buy. You have to know the material commonly used to build the different parts of the bikes and the different types of tires.

Well, there are so many options on the internet but even so there are some things you can do to assure your purchase. First of all try do find a seller that is near you so you can check the bike before you pay for it. If you are an e-bay lover than you have an ocean of deals and sellers, the same goes to Amazon.com, but you can find some small sites that can give you a good service or advice before buying from them.

Do your homework about your needs and than about what is the best road bicycle that fits your needs and budget. After you do that go on and have a great time riding and smiling down the road.

Once again I am writing about a subject that involves us all – the balance between our desire for a good and descent bike and the reality of our economy. Some of us may have to compromise for a 150-300$ bike and be happy with it and others will be very sad with their 3000$ mountain bike, road bike or low-rider bike. • make sure that your good deal doesn't turn out to be too good to be true
• when you buy Cheap New Bicycles buy one from a specialist seller, usually larger sporting goods chains are
less good to buy from, especially if located in a mall
• Beware of bikes sold with sub-standard parts
• If you must a bike with sub-standard parts take it to a good mechanic and upgrade them as soon as you can
• Buy a cheap bicycle from a manufacturer you have no trouble sourcing parts later on

When buying a second hand bicycle you can find a really good deal for a decent bike but you must be alert and make a good research before you make the final purchase. once again I want to quote the bikeexchange site:

"When buying a second hand bicycle ask a lot of questions: why are they selling it, what brand is it, what is the availability of parts should it need repairs, when was it last serviced, and so on. If the seller gets touchy about this, apologise, but point out that you don't know them and they don't know you, and that a few questions now can prevent problems for both of you further down the line."

The times are harsh, economically, so everyone looks for the cheapest solution for everything. We are looking for a cheap house, car, clothes or pizza but as reality shoes "Good" and "Cheap" used together is an oxymoron there is no such animal. Maybe in future economy and society things will be different but till then a cheap mountain bicycle are ok for riding around the neighborhood, but it won't hold up to many jumps. You would be lucky to survive one downhill ride on a $300 bike.

Okay, I always come up with a hobby every summer, like the last summer, I liked RC gas cars, but I realized it's so much expensive. Now, my hobby is on mountain bikes.
