(back tire) since the back tire is what drives you down the road/trail that’s why that back tires mostly wear out before the front it Carry’s the most torque!
It depends on how you ride. If you are climbing a lot, you need more rear traction. If you need braking power, then the front needs more bite. Most bike come with the same width tires fore and aft. I’d put a 2.3 on the front to match your krad. Also, some tires are front or rear specific, so be sure to watch that.
depends on your terrain…. if you do a lot of wet riding or muddy riding… stick with the wide in the back. If you ride mostly dry, go wide up front….Hell,…. to make it easier… just get another 2.3 and put it up front… best of both.
you need traction on both. if your not down-hillin id swap the front for a 1.9. tread pattern depends on what you ride (terrain).
I gotta agree with MV and vail. Get another 2.3 for the front. This gives you the best of both worlds, the width and the traction – up front and in the back. This is especially true if you are riding downhill a lot and if you’re asking this question you probably are.
