Hi,
There are lots of good places for mountain biking in Portugal and it is increasingly popular. Your son could try and find a job with a company offering cycling holidays or maybe set his own up? The North is really beautiful and would be great for cycling (as long as the cyclists are fairly fit). I also saw an advert a few months back for a small bike hire company in the Algarve that was for sale I can’t remember the name but you might find it in a search engine. If you send an email to http://www.portugal-sport-and-adventure.com they’ll let him advertise for a job for free.
Good luck with the search.

WTFrench toast?!?!
try halfords
I believe this is the continuation of your previous question. Well, there are bike stores that need people to assemble and repair bikes. The best thing is to go to Portugal and try to search the market, but as I said before things there aren’t easy and he must speak Portuguese, no one will hire him without speaking the language.
The links below have several bike stores, my advice is to contact each one of them and ask if any of them would hire him.

Something else he should know before hand, it is very rare to find a store that offers contracts, most of the times employees work by what it is called in Portuguese ‘recibos verdes’ (green receipts), it is very good on one hand, but on the other it is terrible.
