Contacting them by phone to get started… have a plan ready to discuss detailing what bikes you are wanting to sell, how many, what types (mountain only?), your location, stores near you (will they bring in possible buyers)… are you near a college.. where is the nearest bike store, etc
Also go to Interbike and other conventions.
try camping stores in a mall
back of a lorry?
contact the manufacturer by phone or e-mail them.
convenient and accurate
I’d say go to the big bike conventions and get all of ‘em at the same time, go with all your paperwork in order to get approved and such and take care of it in one fell swoop! Good luck!
- end of the year deals work well
- try to get a pro deal by actually being a racer
-try an auction
-ask the companys headquarters for some promotional work by presenting there product at an event or similar, this always worked for me, when i was younger….lol
Try your local ad mag maybe or shop windows
you have to have a registered retail store to be taken seriously by them. if you have that, then go ahead and call the headquarters (main phone Numbers) and then you will talk to a sales rep. a lot of the big names like specialized want you to be exclusive so it is hard to start repping them. start with smaller and more flexible companies like felt.
