i don't know much about bikes, so i need someone who knows more than i do to point me in the right direction.
i just heard GT makes some pretty good bikes?
or what about a 2010 kink whip?

Do not get GT, or Haro, Diamondback, or Redline. While these were god brands in the past, they are overpriced walmart bikes now, that use crappy parts. Kink is a great brand and i guess the Whip is alright for a starter bike. The highest quality bikes are always made out of full 4130 chromoly. I would also suggest WeThePeople, Fit, Premium, Eastern, and Subrosa.

well i know a lot of people that ride bikes gt is alright dk is better than gt if you go any of the 2 4 6 or 8 pack kink is starting to get pro along with we the people but for the best bikes go sundy or playboy
No GT is trash get the Kink whip.
a gt pro bmx bike is a good bike to buy….i rode one for 3 years.. they are good quality….dont listen to that guy who said they are overpriced kmart bikes, haro and mongoose and brands like that are but gt and redline and things like that arent. just dont buy an old one

gt is a decent bike, good for starting. i just bought a 2009 gt fly. so far it’s holding up pretty good. the bad thing is if you get it, you need to put a lot of monet into it. such as, the brakeline, crank wheel, seat and tires.
