I need to know how i can make my bike coast longer because my friend has a bike and his coasts for a long time

    Pump the tyres VERY hard to the max recommended on sidewall up or change to a LESS knobbly tread design.

    It’s mainly ‘rolling resistence’ that’s slowing you down.

    And check to see that the brakes are not rubbing on the rims.

    When you look at the axle you will notice that there is a nut on the inside and outside of the frame. It never hurts to take the wheel off and back-off the nut that was on the inside of the frame enough to get some grease into the bearings if you pay attention to what you are doing and then tighten those nuts back down until they don’t wiggle but don’t cause any drag on the axle either. It’s simple and also part of regular maintenance!!! Oh yea, be sure to use a wrench on both the inside and outside nuts when putting that wheel back in the frame..
