Is it a good idea to buy bmx parts for my mountain bike? I only ride it in the city, and i need new parts.. The old parts are cracking and falling off.. Any cheap places to buy bikes and bike accessories?

well, if u want good quality stuff, its not going to be cheap. however, if u can afford to buy some quality parts i would. i spent the last couple months modifying my MTB for more street/freestyle use and i love it. look over your bike and make a parts list, stuff u need to replace and stuff you would like to replace, and then start shopping around. some good places to shop are performance bike, sport chalet, or any other local bike shops in your area. also do your research and make sure the parts your getting will work for your bike.

Depends what you call "cheap". If you mean junk, then there aren’t too many online places except maybe eBay. If you mean "low priced" for the level of quality, then try http://www.icyclesusa.com

  3. Why BMX parts? I’m not sure they’re compatible. Wheels and tires are different size, and probably some other components as well.

Find some good mtb components and you’re good to go.
