On the UK market. I don't like bike racks or roof racks, they are fiddly and wreck aerodynamics.

You could just get a bike rack and then you can put it on any car you’d like..cheapest you can find!
Used volvo 940 estate, you could get about 8 mountain bikes in one of those things.
I would look seriously into the Vauxhall Zafira Life (Deals from £11,000 New) Other cars to look at are a second hand Renault Megane Scenic, Citroen Xsara Picasso, or Older generation Vauxhall Zafira. Larger vehicles like the Renault Espace or Nissan Serena can cost From as little as £1000 upwards.

well i have a bike carrier that just goes on the tow bar it takes seconds to put on then 10 seconds to screw tight cos its behind the car there is no wind resistance lol
If you don’t need the back seat space then a ford escort or vauxhall astra estate car.
