Buying a new bike off the net but unsure of what frame size I need, I am a 5'10" male and have a 32" inside leg. Any ideas?
Cheers.

Yep…..17" will probably fit you best. It does depend on the frame design a little, but that’s more than likely going to be the best size for you. If you’ll be using it for relatively easy/flat trails or pavement, then you could go a little larger….18". 19" will almost certainly make you feel too stretched out and affect the way the bike handles. For most actual mountain biking, you’ll appreciate the smaller of two sizes, all things considered.

Sometimes it takes riding or owning a couple of different bikes with different top tube lengths to really get to know what you like best….but for now, shoot for the 17". Hope this helps you out some…enjoy the new bike! :o )

  2. Somewhere around 17-19" depending on the actual bike. Different bikes ‘fit’ differently.

  3. The frame of the bike should reach your crotch when you have both feet flat on the ground, otherwise it hurts!!!!

I am your size and I have a 19". It is a little big, and I feel like with a 17" I would be able to steer and handle better. I still really like my bike, though.
