What size Trek 820 Mountain bike should I buy? (16 or 18inch) I am 5-8 with a 30 inseam?
I am putting road tires on this bike, As I plan on riding on pavement and bike paths exclusively...I figured a 16 is better for control + stability (As in off road riding)...While a 18 inch would be a little better for the path...I plan on only road riding, So I think I should go for a 18.....Any advices ????

No one on this website can tell you exactly what you need because no one is you. I am 6’2" and I use a 21" frame (GF Marlin Disc). Go to your LBS and ride the bike and you’ll keep coming back to one frame size, and that is the one that you will want.
You you want it for road and path I would go with the Trek 7100 instead. I would try them both out and see which one you like the most. The 7100 comes in a 17.5 inch frame.
you should go with 18 might be tiny bit to big but still ridable and will last you longer
why would an 18″ last you longer?
