What trek mountain bike is the best of these?

Chris The Man trek mountain bikes 2009-07-26

i am looking for a trek bike either 3700 3900 or 4300 which is the lightest and will work the best

    They are all good bikes.The best working bike is one that is maintained and lubed properly.
    A 5 dollar bike that is tight and lubed is always better than a 3500 dollar bike that has loose bolts and rusty cables as the 5 dollar bike will get you from point a to point b succesfully.

    4300.

    Both have the same aluminum frame and components are virtually the same except for the fork. The 4300 come with a 100mm vs 80 for the 3900–not that it makes that big of a difference anyway.

    All 3 bikes are meant as a dirt path/light XC trail bike, not for jumping or downhilling.
