Where is it possible buy new single mountain bike frames from major brands (trek, marin, specialized)?

I have a mediocre frame which I have upgraded with great components worth several times its cost. I would like to upgrade the frame to one of my favorite brands without buying a whole new bike

    most "real" bike companies (not wal-mart or other depart. stores) sell just frames just look over their web site and/or stop in your local bike shop and talk to them
