I want to get my boyfriend a mountain biking magazine subscription for Christmas and was wondering which one to go for, MBR or Mountain Biking UK. Any opinions would be gratefully recieved

Depends upon the type of riding that he likes doing.
If he likes doing tricks and jumps, then I would go for UK. However, if he likes doing XC work or trail centres, MBR.
The two magazines are aimed at two completely different markets. MBUK will tell you how to do simple stunts and give product advice accordingly. This is useful.
MBR will plug the big weekend away or tail centre, reviewing these, as well as the latest full susser bike or hardtail. A decent mag and I subscribe to it. However, do not expect them to know where the midlands are or what trail questing is about.

MBUK ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their mags are LOADED with riding tips to enhance ur skillz and have all sorts of interesting articles and sneakpeaks at new products before they’re released to most countries
If u were my g/f and u got me a subscription to MBUK mag i’d ask u to marry me 
MBUK wrecks any other biking magazines.
MBUK is way better. In fact, if each issue didn’t cost like $12 here in the U.S. I’d subscribe to it.

hey there kate i currently get the both every month and i would have to agree with every one so far mountain bike uk is far better i look forward to getting this one and when i get the mbr half the time i dont even bother opening only if theres afree gift then i dissappointed when i read it , stick with mountain bike uk and you wont go far wrong

hmm well it depends on which disaplin of mountainbiking your boyfriend does.
MBUK covers pretymuch all disaplins i.e. crosscountry, downhill, allmountain etc
MBR is more of a crosscountry/ allmountain mag…trail riding mag tbh
tbh MBUK is best (Y)
